The project is based on the development of a web based resource for Library Services staff, loosely based on the 23 things type of programme which has been widely adopted in the sector.

The programme need to be more than the acquisition of specific skills, but to uniform a discussion of some of the issues around Library Services role in the digital University.

Aims & Objectives

• To gain an understanding of current perceptions of Library Services role in supporting the development of digital literacy
• To examine the usefulness of existing models to scope this role
• To produce a learning tool which is flexible in delivery, and adaptable in content
• To raise the confidence and capability of Library Services staff in digital information literacy
• To consider how this will then inform a dialogue with our users
• To consider the discipline specific nature of digital information literacy: sharing and re-using content within Library Services and the University, using ALTO.
• To share and reuse content within LS and the University, ALTO
• To consider appropriate pedagogic styles and content for future digital information literacy, to integrate with University teaching and learning
• To consider appropriate pedagogic styles and content for future Library Services led digital information literacy development and..to integrate this further within University teaching and learning.
