About: Athanasios Velios (Thanasis) is a Research Fellow at CCW. He graduated from the Technological Educational Institute of Athens with a degree in Archaeological Conservation in 1998. He has also qualification in 3D Modelling and Animation. He then moved to London to complete his PhD at the Royal College of Arts and the Imperial College. His PhD work focussed on Computer Applications to Conservation and more specifically Conservation Documentation.

What is your session: Thanasis will be demoing a couple of Linux distributions designed for creative
practitioners

Time: 13.00 until 16.00

Meet specialist makers, learn about digital making & MakerSpaces at CCW MakerSpace day: 'Chelsea Jam' aims to bring together staff, students and MakerSpaces from across London & UK to share perspectives on digital making within the arts with an aim of establishing a new 'arts digital making community'.

CCW Digital MakerSpace Day: Chelsea Jam on 13th May in the Banquetting Hall at Chelsea College. 

The event is open to all staff and students and are encouraged to drop-in anytime between 11am - 4pm (FabLab presentation start at 1pm).
