In DMC we still use Final Cut 6 and very soon we will have Final Cut X. I haven't use Final Cut X, just read few reviews. Personally, I don't like 'new' interface as it is less intuitive in comparison to previous versions.
Yes, I use Lynda personally quite a lot, at present I learn Sketch Up Pro and Maya from online tutorials. Some students, especially 2nd and 3rd year start to learn from Lynda too :)

Have you used FCP X ? I'm really struggling with it, prefer the older versions. Have you used Lynda.com too, will you be using it with students?
