I attended a workshop today by Julia Gaimster at UAL exploring Virtual Worlds, I created an avatar in second life http://secondlife.com/ in 2007

I haven't used it much but I keep dipping in and out and its good to keep on top of what changes, I was particularly interested in the open source Virtual Worlds!
