Ordnance survey globe
Simple paste, water and paper, or papier-mache. In this case an old second hand ordnance survey map of Southend on Sea, bought for 99p.
The areas landscape and coastline provided an attractive selection of marks, lines, symbols, type, colours and densities.
The torn pieces are pasted into the halves of a PVC hemisphere, see object 5, left to dry, removed and then joined with more torn map pieces.
