The Complementary Roles of Course and Support in Student Development

This is a brief description of the workshop devised by Andrew Chesher (Senior Lecturer, BA Fine Art) and Philip Courtenay (Academic Advisor) at Chelsea College of Art and Design, which was delivered at the 2012 Learning and Teaching Day conference on Cultural Capital on January 18th.

The workshop explored the relationship between teaching and support in relation to student development. The description here ends with a summary of the priorities for consideration of how the two elements should complement one another that participants drew at the workshop.
