If you like to do nothing on Saturdays, come along to the Garden Museum for the afternoon and apply your nothing to something.

> Scenario: “Imagine that there is a day in which nature has reached its limits and we will not be provided with any further natural resources to produce anything.” How will you survive?

> Within one afternoon you will have each of your senses tested and survival skills will be sharpened through scenarios in strategy sessions, games and debates. Your reward is a visual feast and memento for a day you are sure not to forget.

Jo's Minutes for Meeting Mare Street Feb. 7

2014-02-07 Meeting at Mare Street re Student lunch Sat 15 March 2014 12.00 – 15.00

JB/SP/FR

Students: Caroline Zheng (Coordinating, main contact) CJ Hannah Adriana Susie Sarah Rachel

Audience: Public and students – LCF/LCC/Chelsea/Brighton

Budget: £350, Students to also look into other sources of funding

Tickets: £5 each, 50 to be released on eventbrite

Theme: Imagine having nothing, questioning consumption, addressing the problems with finite natural resources, food distribution ‘As if a switch goes off…no more nature’

Food: A lunch based on the Nutan Mumbai Tiffin Box model. Students will design and make own food packs and dress the tables with fabric/paper. Guests are encouraged to question consumption and food distribution, encouraged to share.

JB mentioned Brixton food delivery scheme – potential contact?

KASIM Denim: Material to be used to dress table/make food parcels.

Students pitched the idea of an art installation/performance art piece – All agreed this would be too much to do in the space esp. with current flower installation.

Students are happy to focus on the lunch as the central activity.

Alternatives to an installations/performance would be ‘sound scape’ playing in background (idea of music that plants respond to) and/or projector screen up with slideshow of some kind on loop.

Also games/activities for attendees to play.

Speaker: Susan suggested getting in touch with Jonathan Chapman at Brighton. Would be a great speaker and could come with Sustainable Design students.

Also a presentation from the students explaining the event/themes.

Sustainable Fashion Society: A new society formed at LCF – this lunch could also be a launch for this network.

Flyer: Garden Museum can have A5 flyers produced.

Invites: Digital invites, and then take away packs for attendees to go home with e.g. with seed paper.

Actions:

·         JB to send out timeline for project plan and deadlines for actions.

·         JB to help with writing to speakers, when time comes.

Great thank you .. and here is your group - http://process.arts.ac.uk/category/project-groups/ma-fashion-futures

When you create content -http://process.arts.ac.uk/create you will have the option to add your content in to your group - see this info - http://process.arts.ac.uk/content/about-project-groups-processarts all you content posts will be clustered on this page and each post will have a banner with a link back to the home page.

I've added icons for FB and Twitter if you want them please send me you links to these sites and I will add, thanks.

You can use tags to start to cluster specific topics, you can see this here -  e.g 'MA Fashion futures workshops' tag will be unique to you and if you tag all your workshop posts as this they will all cluster together under the title - 'MA Fashion futures workshops'
