Student-Led Discussion: Digital Technology & the Arts

As part of CCW Digital Maker Week from 16th to 20th May 2016, there will be a student-led round table discussion event. This is informal and student-led, and anyone from any discipline is welcome!

Lunchtime Roundtable Discussion on Digital Technology and the Arts

This is an opportunity for all UAL students to discuss the impact and influence of ever-evolving digital technology on art & design. Participants will introduce and compare their own practices and interests, and discuss what digital technology including 3D printing, Arduinos, Artificial Intelligence, Virtual Reality, Gaming and the Internet have brought into the art world. Please note that this event is focused on the conceptual aspect of digital art & design, not the skill/method/making of the works.

Date: Friday, 20th May
Time: 12:30-14:30
Place: SU Bar (opposite of the canteen) at Chelsea College of Arts

If you are interested in participating, please email Mika (m.suetake1@arts.ac.uk) with an idea for a discussion to talk about with other students. (i.e. The impact of 3D printing on making of sculpture) More information will be sent to participants as the time gets closer.

If you have any question, please feel free to contact Mika m.suetake1@arts.ac.uk
