Aluminium foil cube

Made from a used, disposable catering aluminium plate, part formed by hand, part by soft hammer and wooden block, the foil forms a box with satisfying rigidity, with a combination of sharply produced edges and soft shiny folds.
By hammering a block of plastecine over the foil and onto a solid letterform, a relief impression is formed.
Hit too hard, or try to make too deep an impression, and the foil will split.
