      Q3.   51 Stage Two students (2ND Year), 23 graduates (3rd Year), 13 Stage One students (1st Year)

               6 students   – Illustration

               1 student    – Graphic Design

               3 students   – Fine Art: Painting

               4 students   – Theatre and Screen: Set Design for Screen

               4 students   – Theatre and Screen: Theatre Design

               1 student     – Theatre and Screen: Technical Arts and Special Effects

      Q7.     The most common answers for Digital Tools/ Devices were:

   *MacBook Pro, IPhone, SLR camera, IPad, Graphic Tablet, Laptop/ PC, Projector, Scanner, Audio recorder.

  Note: All students were MacBook and Smartphone users/ owners.

 

  The most common answers for Digital Technologies were:

   *WEBSITE: Wix, WordPress, MyBlog, Tumblr, Workflow.

   *SOFTWARE: Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Goggle SketchUp.

 

      Q8.   The most common answers regarding used media services for professional/ educational purposes were:

               *Social Networks: Facebook, Twitter, WordPress, Tumblr, LinkedIn.

               *Websites/ Online sharing platforms: Youtube, Instagram, Pinterest, TED, Vimeo, SoundCloud.

               Note: 5 students mentioned that their email address is the only professional digital medium they currently use.

 

      Q9.    All students have opted for ‘advanced level skills in digital programmes’ such as:

               *Adobe CS6 (Popular answers: Photoshop, InDesign, After Effects, Illustrator, Premiere Pro)

               *3D software (Popular answers: AutoCAD, 3D Max, Vectorworks, Rhino 3D, Google SketchUp)

               *Film/ Video editing software (Final Cut Pro)

 

                All students have specified ‘Website Design’ as an essential digital skill for a UAL graduate.

             

                More than 50% of students have highlighted ‘digital presentation/documentation skills’ as extremely important when building a  professional online identity.

 

      Q10.   Two-thirds of students have answered Facebook / Twitter account of which more than 50% also mentioned professional profiles on WordPress, Wix, Tumblr and LinkedIn which also appear on the Front Search Page but not as the 1St web link.

                 Almost a third of all 87 students have answered personal website/ blog.

                 Few students admitted that there was no professional online content related to their name yet.

                

      Q11.   All students have requested:

                *Website Design classes (a step-by-step guide on how to build a website)

                *Copywright and Intellectual Property lectures/ seminars

                *Presentation Skills workshops/ group tutorials

 

                More than 50% have also added ‘building online communities and technical support’.

 

      Q12.    98% of all students think it is best to schedule this support at the beginning of their course (during 1st and 2nd Year) as a compulsory, timetable part of their academic agenda.

                  Only 2% think it is best to have it as an elective part of their course and just before they graduate.
