Web development: Session 2 | Online Identities Pilot Programme 2013/14
This pilot programme will explore the challenges and benefits of delivering web making support training for final year students and staff on the Performance Design and Practice (PDP) course at Central Saint Martins.

Simon King: For the past five years, Simon King has been lecturing at The University for the Creative Arts at both the Epsom and the Farnham campuses. He is currently a lecturer for the Advertising, Brand and Communication BA course and the Foundation Studies, graphic design pathway. As well as lecturing course units, King teaches Adobe CS6 software including; Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Aftereffects, Flash and Dreamweaver, to an advanced level. More |
PARTICIPANTS: | The Centre for Performance programme students, the POI project team are all welcome to join the sessions. |
BRIEF OVERVIEW: |
You will learn how to build a basic web site in the second session More advanced web development techniques, CSS following on from session 1 |

PREVIOUS SESSIONS: | Last night we held the first web development training session of the online identities project 'Introduction to web development: Session 1' at Central Saint Martins, UAL, also see the online Identities intro session 'Our Digital Futures'. It was a first for many of the students who attended and everyone seemed to have really enjoy their first coding experience. The tutor was Simon King from Camberwell College of Arts, Simon demonstrated the basic principles of web coding, teaching the basics of HTML and CSS using free downloadable software called Sublime Text 2. |
